What is Battle of the Senses?
Communication is put to the test through three dynamic challenges, designed to enhance clarity, trust, and teamwork. This activity offers a blend of mental and physical tasks that revolve around the senses of seeing, hearing and speaking.
- Blindfold Driving: Test your team’s trust and communication skills. One delegate drives blindfolded while teammates guide them through the course using only clear verbal instructions.
Choose between the thrill of our 4×4 vehicles or a lighter option using remote-control cars, depending on your venue, budget and preferences.
Semaphore Signalling: Master non-verbal communication by decoding and sending messages using traditional semaphore flags.
- Picture Relay: Discover how messages evolve as they’re passed along, emphasising the importance of clear, concise communication.
With a focus on developing a shared language, active listening and effective messaging, this game offers teams a unique opportunity to learn, bond, and take away valuable lessons they can apply in everyday scenarios.
How can it help your team?
This 90-minute team development and communication game challenges participants to refine their ability to send and receive information effectively through three distinct activities, each inspired by the themes of hearing, seeing, and speaking. The game pushes teams to develop a shared language, enhance clarity in messaging and practice active listening skills.
Each challenge highlights different aspects of communication: verbal precision, non-verbal clarity, and active listening.
Teams reflect on their experiences, discussing which strategies were most effective and how they can apply these lessons in real-world scenarios. Our facilitator will lead a final discussion on how strong communication fosters teamwork, efficiency and trust.
