Need 4 Speed is a production line simulation that requires teams to assemble a number of snap-together concept cars from a pile of jumbled components. Teams must be ultra-efficient in order to succeed. With each car having its own unique style and required extras, pressure is added by the need to shave seconds of successive build times to stay ahead. Participants are encouraged to review their performance in order to constantly improve.

Despite the emphasis on speed, quality control will be ruthless and small defects will be reprimanded. Teams will need to create perfect models at high speeds, no easy task. As each stage progresses, the focus shifts from each team’s individual time to the overall performance of the entire group. Aggregate production times will then be measured against previous groups’ best ever times on the leaderboard.
